About LevelUp Advisory

LevelUp Advisory helps growth-stage companies rebuild financial and operating systems when scale outpaces control.

We partner with CEOs, boards, and investors during moments of transition — rapid growth, capital raises, operational resets, or financial stress — to restore visibility, discipline, and execution. Our work focuses on the fundamentals that actually move outcomes: cash flow, margins, planning, and decision-making infrastructure.

Many of our clients reach a point where their existing finance function can no longer support how the business truly operates. Forecasts become unreliable. Cash conversion stretches. Systems fragment. Leadership teams are forced to make high-stakes decisions without clear, timely information. LevelUp steps in to diagnose where value is leaking and rebuild how the business runs so capital, people, and decisions stay aligned.

We work deeply, not broadly. LevelUp is founder-led and intentionally selective, partnering with a small number of companies at a time to deliver durable change — not surface-level fixes. Increasingly, this work is delivered through system-driven and automation-enabled workflows that replace manual processes and decision bottlenecks, but only where they materially improve speed, accuracy, and execution.

Shirah Wercberger, CPA

Founder & Principal, LevelUp Advisory

I founded LevelUp Advisory after spending my career inside companies where growth exposed cracks in finance, operations, and decision-making. I work with CEOs and investors when things are starting to break – margin erosion, unreliable forecasts, mounting receivables, fragmented systems, or leadership teams operating without clear visibility into where value is actually created.

My background spans SaaS, e-commerce, biotech, and tech-enabled services. I’ve led end-to-end financial and operational transformations across businesses navigating scale, capital raises, restructurings, and operating resets. That work has included rebuilding planning, reporting, cash-flow, and revenue systems across finance, sales, and operations; recovering millions in unbilled and overdue receivables; compressing cash conversion cycles from months to weeks; and supporting more than $100M in equity and debt raises.

Today, my work focuses on building durable decision infrastructure — the systems, workflows, and operating cadence that allow leadership teams to see clearly, move faster, and allocate capital with confidence. Increasingly, that means replacing manual reporting and reconciliation with system-driven and automation-enabled processes. I approach automation and AI pragmatically, as extensions of sound operating design, deployed only where they meaningfully improve decision quality and execution.

I’m a California Certified Public Accountant, hold a Master of Accountancy from Golden Gate University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Queens College (CUNY). I’m based in New York. Beyond client work, I’m committed to supporting entrepreneurship and financial literacy through selective community involvement.
